Abstract |
An experiment was designed to find out the suitability of using different levels of crude protein, energy, corn oil and calcium with or without iodine supplementation in broiler diets. A total number of 300 one day Arbor - Acrse broiler chicks were randomly distributed into 10 treatment groups of 30 chicks each. Each group was given one of the ten experimental diets, starter diet containing 20 % ,2800 Kcal/Kg ME ,0% corn oil ,0.55mg/kg KI with 0.8, 1.1 or 1.4% Ca for diets 1,2,3; 23%CP, 3200 Kcal/kg ME,3.1 % corn oil for diets 4, 5, 6,and 26%CP, 3640 Kcal/Kg ME, 8.5% corn oil for diets 7,8 and 9 with the same obvious levels of Ca and KI during the experimental period. All chicks received a finisher diets contained 18% CP, 2900 Kcal/Kg ME and 0% corn oil ,21% CP ; 3300 Kcal/kg ME 3.0% com oil and 24 % CP, 3600 Kcal/kg ME and 7.1 % corn oil with the same levels of Ca and KI for nine diets, while diet 10 contained the same diet 5 without iodine supplement.
The results obtained were summarized as follows:
The statistical analysis recorded similar of LBWG for groups received 21 %CP and 3300 Kcal/kg ME diet and decreased by increasing the Ca level in the diets. Also, feed consumed/bird decreased with increasing CP ,energy or Ca level in the diets, but iodine had slight negative effect on LBWG and feed consumed values. In addition, FCR increased with increasing CP, energy and corn oil levels ,while Ca levels had nearly similar values of FCR . The results showed no mortality trend for different experimental treatments.. Digestion coefficients of CP increased with increasing of dietary protein, energy and corn oil levels and decreased by increasing Ca level. OM and NFE decreased with increasing CP, energy and com oil levels in the diets. The TMEn had the same trend which was paralleled with the lipids - content of different experimental diets The results also showed that the most edible parts of carcass increased by increasing the levels of energy, protein and corn oil in diets. However, either dietary calcium or iodine levels had no influence protein distribution in blood plasma, while adding iodine in the experimental diets had a stimulating effect on the thyroid functions., and the values of plasma calcium increased with increasing dietary Ca levels. The Arbor- Acrse broiler chicks try to keep the Ca/P ratio approximately constant for most instances in blood plasma. The calcium binding protein. ranged between 45 and 50 of total plasma calcium.
