| Abstract |
The main objective of this research is to (1) Identify the degree of the beneficiaries farmers participation in the extension activities in EL-¬Boustan area, EL-Noubaria Region.
(2) Determine the relationship between the degree of the farmers participation in the extension activities and some independent variables namely: age, degree of educational degree of aspiration toward children in education , degree of social participation ,degree of exposure to mass media , degree of general awarness , degree of opinion leadership, size of family, average annual income. Personal interviews data were collected by using a questionnaire pretested from three villages at EL-Boustan area. The sample was randomly selected and represented 1 Q% of The total farmers . The data were analyzed statistically by using Frequency and percentage in addition to correlation coefficient , multiple correlation and regression analysis as statistical means
The main findings are:
1- 56.6% of the respondents have a low degree of participation in the extension activities
2-The correlation revealed that :
i) A positive significant relationship between farmers participation in the extension activities as a dependent variable and the independent variables as mentioned above .
b)A negative significant relationship between the dependent variable And size of family.
c)A non- significant relationship between the dependent variable and Three independent variables namely. age, degree of aspiration toward children in education and degree of social participation . The multiple Correlation and regression coefficient revealed that the total numbers Of factors explain 43.14% of the total variance at the farmers at the extension activities i.e the dependent variable.
