Training needs of agricultural extension advisors in the field of integrated weeds control in El-Behera governorate

Abstract |
This research aimed at determining the knowledge level of Agricultural extension advisors in the field of integral weeds control. The data were collected from a random sample amounted to 120 respondents from El-Behera Governorate.
The important results of this research are as follows :
1. Low knowledge level of respondents, the highest knowledge degrees were 49.8% from the maximum of knowledge degrees, while the lowest knowledge degrees were 9.5%.
2. There is a significant difference at 0.01 level between both of educational qualification , the period of working in extension , the number of training periods in the field of weeds control and knowledge level of respondents, while a significant difference was found at 0.05 level between educational specialization and the knowledge level of respondents.
3. The most important subjects of training needs were as
4. follow: methods of adding herbicides , methods of weeds control. the damages of herbicides the percussion which must be observed at using weeds spreading which must be observed at using weeds herbicides spreading methods, and finally weeds classification.
Some recommendations were suggested to improve the knowledge of respondents concerning weed control.
