English : An analytical study of the extension training needs for beneficiaries farmers cultivating wheat in sandy soil at el Boustan area, El-Noubaria region [ Egypt]

Abstract The main objective of this research is to determine the extension training needs for wheat cultivators at El Boustan area, El Noubaria region. Specifically, it establishes the relationships between the dependent variable i.e farmers extension training needs and some other independent variables namely: Age, educational level, agricultural reference group, level of aspiration toward children in education, Exposure to mass medic, general awarness, opinion leadership, average wheat income. The study is based on personal interview questionnaire and covers three villages at El Boustan area. The sample was randomly selected and represented 15% of the total wheat farmers. Frequency, percentages., averages, and correlation coefficient are used as statistical means. The main results are as follows: 1- 37.3% of the respondents have a low level of knowledge 2- 53.8% of the respondents are in pressing need of extension training. 3- The correlation analysis reveals that a negative significant correlation between the level of extension training needs as a dependent variables and education level, agricultural reference group, level of aspiration toward children in education, exposure to mass media, general awarness, opinion leadership, and average of wheat income, A non-significant correlation is indicated between the extension training needs as a dependent variable and four independent variables namely: age, family size, social participation, and size of herd.
