| Abstract |
Daily newspapers are considered as an effective and important communication channel. It gives the receivers the chance to repeat and read the message more than once
The main objective of this study is to analyze the content of Misr El-Khadra page that is published weekly in El-Abram newspaper on Saturdays, through subject category and Format category through 3 months, March, April & May 2000.
The total studied page numbers were 13. Frequencies, percentages were used to analyze data.
The most important results could be summarized as follows :
- Adverstimeats had 27.08% of the total areas of the studied pages, agricultural news that included achievements had 23,35%, agricultural policy news had 10.12%. Agricultural international agreements had 7,58%, group pictures 4.810/o, agric. Conferences 4% , and agricultural extension had only 0.07% some agricultural extension Messages had been introduced as a caricature Agricultural credit Bank was the most improtant adevertiser at the studied pages, caricature were mainly from for station General Administration.
- With respect to format presentation, news and adverstiment had respectively 66.2%, 29.9%. While the others presentation formats such as :
Agri. Exten., story, article, readers messages, statistics, handmade pictures had only 4% of all presentation drawing formats.
- Most pictures in the studied pages had white and black colour.
- Group pictures were low in numbers and most of them with white and black color.
- Half of the main titles were with (24) letter size (font).
