Arabic : القدرات المعرفية بعملية تخطيط البرنامج الإرشادى لدى المرشدين الزراعيين فى محافظة المنوفية
Abstract The main objectives of this study were to: 1- Determine the !knowledge ability level of the agricultural extensionists in Monofia governorate concerning the steps of agricultural extension programs planning. 2- Determine differences between average degrees of the agricultural extensionists concerning their total knowledge abilities in the steps of agricultural extension programs planning. 3- Determine the differences between average degrees of the agricultural extensionists concerning their knowledge abilities about the agricultural extension programs planning. 4- Determine the relationship between the agricultural extensionists in Monofia governorate total knowledge abilities degree and each of the following independent variables: age, educational degree, duration of training in extension program planning, duration of agricultural work, duration of extension work, and degree of sufficient work facilities available. This study was carried out in eight districts at the Monofia governorate. Data were collected randomly using a sample of 120 agricultural extensionists, which represented 39 % from the total population of this study_ Data were collected by personal interviews using a pretested questionnaire, during March and April, 1998. Data were tabulated and analysed by percentages "F" test, simple correlation's, mode, standard deviation, coefficient variance and Multiple Correlation & Regression analysis. The major finding of this study could be summarized as follows: First: In general, the agricultural extensionists knowledge abilities degree of all extension program planning steps is high. The steps of extension program planning could be arranged according to their knowledge abilities degree, in descending order as follows: studying of the current situation, deciding the educational objective, determining the problems, and designing the plan of work. Data show that there were significant differences between the four steps of the agricultural extensionists program planning in this study. Second: The agricultural extensionists knowledge abilities degree could be also arranged in descending order as follows: evaluation analysis, synthesis, comprehension, application and remembering. Data also reveal that there were significant differences between the six agricultural extensionists knowledge abilities degree in this study. Third: There were significant correlation between the total knowledge abilities degree of the agricultural extensionists and each of the following independent variables: age, duration of training in extension programs planning, duration of extension work. However, there were no significant correlation existing between. the agricultural extensionists knowledge abilities degree, and each of the following independent variables: education degree, duration of agricultural work and sufficient extension work facilities available. The results also indicated that there are two independent variables explaining together about 17.15% of the variance in the agricultural extensionists knowledge abilities degree, these variables are: duration of training in extension programs planning, duration of extension work. Some recommendations have been suggested at the end of the study.
