Redding (physiological wilt } in El-Monofia Governorate. and their relation to some independent variables, also to determine the contribution percentage of the independent variables correlated significantly to both farmers knowledge and implementation about the technical. recommendations for the protection from some cotton diseases. finally it aims to determine the problems lacing farmers in producing of their cotton product in El-Monona Governorate.
Data was collected by. interviewing respondents using a pre-tested questionnaire during January and February 1999.

The collected data were statistically manipulated analyzed using tables, percentages, averages. standard deviations, frequency distributions, simple correlation coefficient, and multiple. correlation and regression analysis.
The results revealed the following:
l-The respondent's knowledge, implementation level about the technical recommendations for the protection from some cotton diseases in El-Monona Governorate were low. and a positive correlation existed between the respondent's knowledge levels and their implementation levels regarding the technical recommendations for the protection from some cotton diseases in El-Monona Governorate .
2- A positive correlation existed between age of the respondents and Their knowledge level about the technical recommendations for the protection from some cotton diseases in El-Monofia Governorate.
3- A positive correlation existed between the following independent variables : size of farm land, size of land in cotton, average yield per faddan, degree of satisfaction of cotton economic profitability, degree of attitude toward extension and the respondent's knowledge, implementation level about the technical recommendations for the protection from some cotton diseases in El-Monofia Governorate.
4- The following independent variables significantly contributed in explaining the variation in the respondent's knowledge, implementation level about the technical recommendations for the protection from some cotton diseases in El-Monofia Governorate, these are: average yield per faddan of cotton and degree of satisfaction of cotton economic profitability.
s-There were seven production constraints facing the great majority of the respondents, these are in descending order : low price for kintar of cotton, high production costs per faddan of cotton, the pesticides which were used in controlling boil worms were not quite active , increase cost of twice cotton picking , decreasing .the effect of boll worms traps, failure of G89 variety in comparison with G.75 variety which was planted before and u unfairness of grading.
