Abstract |
This study was carried out aiming to determine the attitude of(F.E.A.) towards their role in integrating population and family life education in agricultural extension In both lower and upper Egypt, the difference between such attitude of (F.E.A.) who work or don't work ' in the project of integrating population and family life education in agricultural extension in the governorates where this project was implemented and the difference between those (F.E.A.) working or don't in the project for all the sample of this study.
Data were collected from tour governorates, two of them the project was implemented in (Gharbia and Beni-Sues) and other two the project wasn't implemented in (Menoufia and Assuit).
The sample size amounted to 160 (F.E.A.) who were chosen randomly . 104 of them (65%) were not working in the project, and 56 ( 35%) of (F.E.A.) were working in the project .
Field data were collected using a questionnaire including a criterion for measuring the respondents' attitude of (F.E.A.) about their role in integrating population and family life education in agricultural extension, which was valid and consistent. It also included questions related to measure the studied independent variables.
The major result revealed that 51.88 percent of the respondents of (F.E.A.) had high attitude towards their role in integrating population and family Iife education in agricultural extension, it was neutral for 45 percent -of the interviewed and was low for only 3.12 percent of them. According the (Step- wise) analyses, it revealed that only three studied independent variables had significant participation percentages in illustrating the total variance for the interviewed attitude towards their role in integrating population and family life education in agricultural extension (25.21 percent). Such in dependent variables was marriage period, the degree of satisfaction about working with rural people, and the degree of job ambition, which necessitate taking such variables in consideration generally when implementing this project in other future governorates. It was clear also that there was no significant difference between the respondents' attitude of (F.E A.) in both lower and ripper Egypt, and also between workers and non-workers in the governorates where the project was implemented towards this role. But related to the difference between the workers and non-workers attitude's level in all the sample of the study, it was found that interviewed workers in the project had relatively higher attitude than non-workers towards their role in integrating population and family life education in agricultural extension for several reasons mentioned in the study itself
The results of this study necessitate that responsible leaders of this pre-mentioned project should work hardly toward implementing such project all over A, R. E. governorates, beside awraring the (F. E. A.) with the seriousness of the population problem, and its negative effects on communities and individuals on all fields and areas which hinders intern progress and development, and also train those (F. E. A.) on various techniques and methods of transferring extension messages related to population and family life education to rural people.
