Arabic : اتجاه الريفيات نحو بعض المشروعات الزراعية الصغيرة
Abstract This study aimed at determining the attitude level for both of rural women owners to small agricultural projects and their close neighbours who were non owners towards these projects, the sources of information about these projects, the independent variables affecting the attitude of each group, constraints facing rural women owning these projects, their suggestions to overcome these constraints and the reasons which encourage or prevent rural women non - owners for establishing these projects . Data were collected by personal interviews from two samples The first was systematic random sample of 241 rural women owners of small agricultural projects and the second was a random sample amounting to 241 rural women non- owners of these projects who were neighbours of the owners .The study was carried out in eight governorates .Simple Correlation Coefficient and Step -Wise Multiple Correlation and Regression analysis were used to analyze data. The results revealed that the majority of rural women owners (61%) had a positive attitude towards small agricultural projects , while the attitude for ( 48.13% ) of rural women non-owners was positive towards these projects The original source of information was the rural adviser woman for rural woman owners , while the neighbours and relatives were the original source for rural women non- owners of these projects . Four independent variables had significant contribution in explaining 82. 08 % of the variance in the degrees of attitude of rural women owners of these projects ,while four independent variables had significant contribution in explaining 84. 82% of the variance in the degrees of attitude of rural women non- owners of these projects . The most important constraints given by rural women owners were : lack of knowledge about the products markets, the importance of offering strong collaterals to get loans, low prices of the projects' products, shortness of the period for repaying the loans, difficulty of getting requirements for operating the project, lack of fixed price of marketing the same product and high wages of hired assisting labour The most important suggestions given by them were : informing rural women about suitable markets, providing need requirements for operating the projects by the donners of loans , elongating of the period determined for repaying loans, repaying loans without any interest in case of project failure, increasing the free period for not starting repaying loans and decreasing the needed collaterals for getting such loans. Results also showed that 78. 42% of rural women non- owners had the desire for establishing small agricultural projects in the future.
