English : Job satisfaction of the extension agents at Menoufia and Sohag governorate in A. R. E.

Abstract This study aimed to determine the differences among exte¬nsion agents, job satisfaction in the studied dimenstions. IT also aimed to detemine the relationships between the extension agents. job satisfaction and some independent variables. The study was conducted at Menonfia and Sohag governorates. The sample was selected randomly to represent TT% of the total number of extension agents in both governorates .The total number of the sample were I00 extension agents , 53 were selected from Menouf and 47 were selected from Sohag governorates. Data were collected by a designed questionnaire through group interview. The questionnaire consisted of seven dimenstionS.Theee dimensions are s Promotion chances, regulations, salaries and incentives, supervision, relationship with colleagues, relationrhip with the served clientalm end the physical demands and condition of work. Analysis of variance and N f w teat . and aiaple corral - ation. coetecient were used as statistical tools for analysis. The in results revealed that there were no significant diitre¬nces between the seven studied dimension of job satisfaction . In general, job satisfaction was moderate and tend to be low. The hie ghost score of job satisfaction was the relationship with collegues The relationships between the overall job satisfaction score and the attitude towards change as well as the attitude towards the agricultural extension service were positive and significant at the 0.01% level . The relationship between fob satisfaction and the receiving op motorcycle was also significant at the 0.05'A level.As for career ambition , the relationship with job satifeotion was nega¬tive and significant at the 0.01% level.Also, the relation, betw¬een job satisfaction and distance from home to job location was negative and significant at the 0.05% level . The study recommend the Central Admietration of the Agricultu¬ral Extension to increase the extension agents salaries end ince¬ntives, provide material work conditions, and to increase the cha¬nce for promotion if it were to improve their relationships, comm¬itment, and work performance .
