English : Graduates' social needs at Noubaria region

Abstract This study was conducted at Noubaria region that comprises of three new areas i.e Sugar Beat, West Noubaria and EL-Boustan. Its total villages areas are 42; inhabited by 9800 graduates of colleges and schools. Data were collected with a random sample composed of 294 graduates which represented 3% of the total population. It aims mainly at determining the graduates' social needs particularly in the field of education, health, training, housing and supplies and mapping out the priorities among these needs. The majority of graduates' opinions affirms the necessity for the fullfilment of the following needs: 1- Supplying the foodstuff necessary to students and continous follow- up of school administration at the region. 2- Diffusing hygenic awarness and offering internal health care at health centres. 3- Implementation of training courses in the field of fruit and vegetables production. 4- Supplying a good sewage system and house potable water. 5- Enhancement of the role of supervision exercised by the Ministry of Supply on consumers cooperatives with a special emphasis on food stuff. 6- Establishment of post office, telephone and telegraph services. 7- Building up public libraries and youth centres at the new villages.
