Abstract People is important responsibility agriculture in Egypt is trying to maximize wheat productivity to meet the increasing demand of reducing the imported amount from this crop. This could happen through using various methods of diffusing technical recommendations related to throughout establishing extension fields and overcoming problems limiting its productivity such as growing of herbs within its fields. This study aimed to recognizing effect of Wheat extension fields as a demonstrative method to farmers implementation of knowledge related to factors of herbicides utilization process, effects of some independent factors on them in addition to studying reasons of not utilizing neighbours control group of farmers to Wheat herbicides. For realizing such objective, the study's situations necessitate choosing two random samples which each of them represent at least 25% of the research population. The first of them was taken from three governorates in lower Egypt (Delta) amounted to 41 farmers of extension fields and 82 of Wheat neighbour control farmers. The second of them was taken from three governorates in upper Egypt (Saeed of Egypt) amounted to 35 Wheat extension farmers and 70 of Wheat neighbour control of farmers. A designed, pretested and modified questionnaire was utilized as a tool for collecting data through personal interviews. For data persentation and analysis, tabulation, frequencies, percentages, "T" test and Person simple correlation effecient were utilized. The most important results of this study could be summarized as follows: 1. There were significant difference between knowledge of farmers of extension fields and control fields farmers m three factors only of Wheat herbicides utilization process which were kinds, amounts and timing of herbicides while there was no significant difference in their knowledge related to the fourth factor of herbicides utilization process which is the necessary precautions taken in their utilization. This could be due to on one side to the relative recency of recommended items related to kinds, amounts and timing of Wheat herbicides to farmers in general, their implementation under supervision of extension agents in the extension fields and the need of increasing Wheat productivity. On the other side, precautions in herbicides utilization are well known and their implementation are necessary for all crops including Wheat because of the sev ere harms reulting from mistakes in their utilization to human. animal and environment. 2. Relative significant effect of cultures on farmers knowledge of various factors of the Wheat herbicides utilization represented in significant differences of knowledge between Delta and upper Egypt extension fields farmers related to amount of herbicides and the total knowledge related to utilization different of kind of Wheat herbicides in Delta and only one kind in upper Egypt. The same results were true to neighbour control farmers in both Delta and upper Egypt for the total knowledge and amounts of herbicides for the same pre mentioned reasons for extension fields farmers. Besides there were differences also in the previous knowledge about Wheat precausins herbicides utilization which could be due to more mistakes in utilization in upper Egypt than in lower Egypt (Delta). 3. Person simple correlation were studied and measured between five independent variable which are : the degree of awareness of agricultural innovations, the degree of social formal participation, the degree of metroplitanness, the degree of exposure to mass media methods and the leadership degree and the dependent variable of the degree of total knowledge of the interviewed groups of farmers in both lower and upper Egypt (Delta and Saeed). The following results were found a) There were significat differences on the 0.01 level of significance between the first factor in extension field farmers in lower Egypt, the fourth factor in extension fields farmers in upper Egypt, and the fifth factor in neighbour control fields farmers. b) There were differences on the 0.05 level of significance between the first and fourth factors for neighbour control fields farmers in lower Egypt and the fourth factor for neighbour control fields farmers in upper Egypt. c) All other relations with the other non mentioned in (a) and (b) prementioned independent variables with the dependent variable were insignificant. 4. It was found also that four major problems preventing neighbour control field farmers from utilizing wheat herbicides were lack of herbicides in the village banks, lack of confidence in herbicides effectiveness, relative high prices of herbicides and causing harms for following crops after wheat. 5. Consequently the study recommended overcoming the prementioned four problems throughout providing herbicides in suitable time at suitable places with relativity suitable prices, establishing various extension fields for assuring the effectiveness of such herbicides and issuing various specialized extension bulletins 4irected to both extensions agents and farmers leaders.
