Perception of university students with rural background for societal problems

| Abstract |
This study aimed to identify the percepted societal problems by university students with rural background and the degree of their perception and to determine some personal and social factors which effect their perception.
Data were collected from 75 by interviewing questionnaire, arithmetic mean, percentages, r and t test were used as statistical analysis tools.
The findings revealed that the main local, national regional and international problems were as follows: shortage of services, youth unemployment, Arabic desegregate and ethnic wars respectively. The vast majority of students in the sample had moderate to high degree of perception.
