| Abstract |
The success of agricultural extension work depends on extension agents in order to accomplish its educational messages end to increase Agricultural, Production.
The study has been conducted on a sample of 120 farmers from Sohag governorate.
The purposes of the study could be stated as follow$:
1. Determining the degree of awareness about the new ideas.
2. Determining the role of extension agents in acknowledging farmers with the new ideas.
3. Determining the degree of farmers Implementation of the new ideas.
4. Determining the relationship between their personal variables and
their implementation of tie new Ideas.
The data were analysed using absolute numbers. percentages, and Contingency coefficient.
The results Indicated that the majority of farmers awareness about the new ideas and their implementation of these ideas was high. The results also Indicated that the extension agent was the first and important source of information for farmers. The results showed that there la larger; contingency relationship between the personal variables of respondents and their implementation• of the new Ideas. The extension workers could get benifit from the results of this study during the, diffusion and implementation of the new ideas in the Egyptian society.
