Determinants of educated rural youth participation in form work in Egyptian governorates

| Abstract |
This study aims to describe the different aspects of educated rural youth participation in Fans work, determine some personal, Family and Societal Factors which affect the degree of their participation, identify the main reasons of sharing or not sharing, and how they spend their leisure time. For realizing these objectives a questionnaire was designed and filled through personal interviews. Data were collected from purposive sample of 564 educated rural youth who obtained their degrees but haven't work until the time of data collection. The study was carried out in Bahara, Sharkia, Gharbia, Menia, Assuit and Suhag governorates. "F" test, (L.S.D.) test "Z" test and multiple correlation and regression (Step-Wise) were used to analyse the data. The results of the study revealed that the participation of 72.0 percent of educated rural youth was low. Irrigation and Harvesting were the common agricultural. operations which the educated rural youth participated in, there were 3 independent variables explaining together 56 percent of the variables explaining together 56 percent of the variance in participation. The main reason which motivated rural youth to share was the high costs of farm labor. On the other hand the main reason of not sharing was lack farming experience, finally the results showed that the most important activities of leisure time were practicing athletics and watching T.V.
