| Abstract |
Field experiments were carried out to study the effect of a feeding Stimulant (Bioenhancer) alone or in combination with each of the two chemical insecticides (Diazinox and Endo) and bioinsecticide (Xentari) on Sesamia cretica Led. Ostrinia nubilalis (Hub) and Chilo agamemnon Bles. and the associated predators in maize field at Sakha Research Station, in the summer and Nili plantations of 2004 season .
Results indicated that a high degree of eefficiency against S. cretica, O. nubilalis and C. agamemnon larvae was exhibited by the chemical insecticides or the bioinsecticide when combined with the feeding stimulant. Through the season, nine predaceous species were collected in the study .Moreover, the results showed that both of the Bioenhancer and bioinsecticide had the least harmful effect on the predator’s population.
