| Abstract |
The present work was carried out to determine the susceptibility of adult aphids Rhopalosiphum padi and its parasitoid Rhopalosiphum padi to three insecticides namely fenitrothion, malathion and pirimphos-methyl. Data indicate that, Lc50 values of three tested compounds varied tremendously due to the exposed organism and the chemical nature of the used insecticides. Accordingly Lc50 values in case of adult aphid R. padi being 476.43, 680.77 and 1006.93 ppm. with fenitrothion, malathion and pirimphos-methyl, respectively.
Regarding the parasitoid D. rapae the Lc50 values showed 361.41, 381.07 and 475.33 ppm with fenitrothion, pirimiphos-methyl and malathion, respectively.
Considering the selectivity factor, data revealed the susceptibility of parasitoid towards the three tested insecticides compared with the target aphid representing 0.38, 0.70 and 0.76 fold with pirimphos-methyl, malathion and fenitrothion, respectively.
