| Abstract |
In this study, immunity assays in guinea pigs depend manily on Brucella colony froming unit (CFU) in gram of the spleen mass and on spleen weight/body wgith ratio. At challenge with 5x106 viable organisms of virulent Brucella abortus S-2308, the Brucella Vcacine prepared from field local Brucella strain was slightly more active in guinea pigs than killed Brucella abortus rough strain 45/20 (s 45/20 vaccine). However, the live strain 19 vaccine(S19 vaccine) was markedly effective than the brucella killed vaccines. It is suggetsed that killed vaccine from local field strain is suitable for vaccinating adult cattle either preganat or not.
