English : EVALUATION OF GROWERS SPRINKLER IRRIGATION SYSTEM MANAGEMENT IN BUSTAN AREA (A FIELD STUDY).
Arabic : تقييم أسلوب أداره نظام الري بالرش لمزارعي منطقة البستان (دراسة حقلية)
Abstract A field study was conducted in Bustan area to evaluate the growers irrigation systems management, by testing their irrigation systems using the described methods in ISO 7749 part 1 & 2 (1990) AEnRI & MSAE Stadd. (2001) “ ir / sprink / Test. Two growers were randomly selected from three main growers a category i.e. graduates, investors, and farmers. The results showed that all three categories had been doing management mistakes, such as: installing different sizes and types of sprinklers on the same sprinkler line, enlarging nozzles using drilling, installing sprinklers without risers, leakage losses due to the loss of rubber rings between pipes, and sprinklers irrigation lines being not straight. Also, the irrigation systems are managed without the necessary knowledge of the basic factors governing soil, irrigation water requirements and irrigation system specification. The DU and CU values were lower with the grower’s management. Much has to be done for the proper management.
