Abstract |
The research aims to evaluate the pesticide sprayer to resistance of white mango scale insect by using pesticide sprayer using a mist blower. The study had the following operating parameters: speed motor spray, air fan speed, the rate of pesticide, the pesticide to air ratio, and compare the impact of resistance white mango scale insect by manual sprayer hand using pesticide and mineral oil spraying. The experiments were carried out at the mango farm, The obtained results were as follows:1) An increase of the sampling time examine, the reduction of the percentage in infestation by the white scale mango at different operating rates spraying speed motor, air fan speed, and the rate of pesticide). 2) An increase of the pesticide spraying rate from 0.5 to 2.5 lit/min, the pesticide to air ratio was increased which leads to enhance the impact of the spraying process and the reduction of percentage in infestation from 92 to 72% at 0.5 lit/min, while it had been from 96 to 78% at 2.5 lit/min, during 45 days. 3) An increase of spraying air fan speed of the pesticide from 5.5 to 8.5 m/s, leading to the increase of the air the paid rate which increases the fragmentation of the pesticide drops, making it was easier to penetrate the pesticide drops foliage which increases the impact of the pesticide, therefore the reduction of percentage in infestation from 86 to 80% at 5.5 m/s, while, it had been from 96% to 77% at 8.5 m/s, during 45 days. 4) An increase of nozzle flow rate spraying, leading to the reduction of percentage in infestation, when use a manual sprayer in the case of spraying pesticide while increasing the reduction of percentage in infestation when using mineral oil spray. Fruit analysis revealed that spraying mango trees with MOVENTO pesticide decreased Total Soluble Solds (TSS), increasing the acidity and having no significant difference in ascorbic acid content. The decrease of the TSS/acid ratio by the pesticide treatment had an indication for the delaying fruit ripening.
