| Abstract |
A new theridid spider, theridion egyptium sp.n (araneae : theridiidae) was recorded on egg plants in green house in giza duing july,2001 and was collected from cotton field in qalubia governorate. Descriptions of adult stages of male and female are included. This species was found feeding on different cotton pests, such as aphids, cotton leaf worm and the two spotted spider mite, so that it may play a part as a biocontrol agant.
