The aim of this study is to investigate the economic effects of using agricultural mechanization on the production of wheat crop in Egypt. This is carried out by evaluating different methods of planting and harvesting to reach a technical package of mechanical systems which would achieve the economic efficiency of using the available agricultural resources( land , labor , force and capital ). The study also evaluates wheat transplanting versus the traditional methods .
The results show that chiseling + rotary + hydraulic lever and land preparation for wheat crop is the best method , where increasing about 2.77 ardb and 2.01 ardab more than the cultivator seed bed preparation and chiseling twice the ratio of this increase are 21% and 15 % respectively. Seed drill was better than the hand broadcasting in wheat planting and reached an increases of about 2.47 ardab , the ratio of this increases was about 19 %. Combine harvester was bettet than hand gathering + reaping + thrashing machine where the increase reached about 3.08 ardab and 1.63 ardb , the rate of this increase about 19.3% and 11.4 % respectively .
