English : Monitoring of dithiocarbamat fungicides in some vegetables
Abstract A market basket survey was carried out during the period (January 1993- December 1993) in four popular local markets in Cairo-Egypt to monitor EBDC residues contaminating three food items, cucumber, tomato and eggplant. Non of the analyzed tomato and eggplantsamples were found to exceed the Codex Maximum Residue Limits (MRL's) of EBDC's. In Cucumber samples, the Maximum Residue Limits were exceeded in 1 5 samples out of 48. Highest residual concentrations were detected during January, February and March in all markets.
