Arabic : دراسة مقارنة لآلات متنقلة ومدفوعة وذاتية الحركة لخدمة نخيل البلح
Abstract The aim of this research is to study the design and operation factors of portable, pushed and self-propelled machines for pollination of date palm trees, along with other services such as pest control and pruning. The portable machine consists of 4-arm stand, telescopic tubes, and pollination or other devices. The pushed machine consists of a manual trailer, telescopic tubes, and pollination device. The self-propelled machine consists of a self-propelled chassis, telescopic tubes, and pollination or other devices. The main results can be summarized in the following: • The average productivity of portable, pushed and self-propelled machines was 26, 33 and 13 palm tree/h respectively. • Pollination cost for the portable, pushed and self-propelled machines was 0.13, 0.11 and 0.35 LE/palm tree respectively, whereas, the pollination cost by a traditional method was 2.5 LE/palm tree.
