English : Biochemical studies on the effect of fibers content in diabetic foods on absorbtion of some minerals (111)effect of wheat dietary fibers on histopathological changes in sterptozotocin (stz)diabetic rats
Abstract Eight groups of rats which represent eight treatments were fed on diets contain: (1) wheat flour 76 % ext (2) wheat flour 82 % ext., (3) wheat flour 82 % ext. +10 % wheat bran,(4) wheat flour 82% ext. +20 %wheat bran,(5) whole meal,(6) white shorts,(7) diabetic control and (8) normal control (healthy rats). Groups 4,5 and 6 which received diets contain wheat flour 82%. ext. + 20% wheat bran, whole meal and white shorts showed the best histo- pathological findings of rats liver where the examined cases showed moderate clear enlarged and vacuolated cells with moderate hyperchromatic nuclei. Dietary fibers have an effective effect in reducing glycemic response. Key words: Biochimical-Diabetic foods- Histo- pathological- Dietry fiber.
