English : The effect of acaricides treatment on some non-target soil fauna in cucumber crops at Fayuom Governorate, Egypt

Abstract Two spotted spider mite Tetranychus urticae (Koch)is a very dangerous agriculture pest which attacks over 100 different crops. Spider mites are generally controlled by synthetic acaricides, all of wich offer effectively, but there is considerable interest in reducing or eliminating the use of syntheetic pesticide to reduce the risk of residues on vegetable product are to enable qualification for organic certification. An experiment was conducted at fayoum Governorate, in cucmber crops to investigate the effects of acaricides treatments on some non-target soil fauna taxa. An area of one feddan (=1.038 acre) cultivated with cucumber was divided into 21 equal plots. Abalonaa, Medmek (Abamect), Akoafol (decafal), Opieron (Spiromesife), Byby (Ametraz) and Flwmait (Flufenzince). Soil fauna were collected by the pitfall trap method. All treatment decreased the number of soil dauna lower than the control polts.
