| Abstract |
The present study was planned to evaluate the inheritance of resistance to aphid in seven cotton varieties namely, i.e. Termes 16, Alexandria 4, Giza 76, Giza 77, Bahtim 101 and Bahtim 110. All possible combinations of crosses excluding reciprocals among the seven varieties were made. A randomized complete blocks design experiment with three replications was conducted to evaluate the parents and their F1's for resistance to aphid under both natural and artificial infestations. The genetic analysis was computed according to Hayman (1954).
