| Abstract |
A percentage of 41.43 of the investigated Tilapia nilotica were infected with encysted metacercariae. The number of metacercariae per gram was 27 + 0.03. Prohemistomatid, Pygidiopsis sp. and Diplostomum sp. Encysted metacercariae were described and experimental infection was performed to rats to recovery the adult flukes, except for pygidiopsis were not considered a suitable host. Histopathological examination which was carried out.
