Abstract |
Examination of the spiral valve of 50 common Sting Rays, Dasyatis Pastinaca from North Coast at Matrouh Governorate, Egypt, in first third of 2005 resulted in the recovery of one species of trypanorhyncha and two species of tetraphyllideans. The incidence of trypanoryncha, Pterobothrium dasybati was 8% while that of tetraphyllideans, Acanthobathium cleofanus and Caulobothium longicolle were 4% and 10% respectively. The revealed cestodes were recorded for first time in Egyptian North Coast as a new locality. The morphological features of these cestodes were discussed .
