English : TRACING OF MYCOPLASMA GALLISEPTICUM IN TRACHEA AND LUNG IN BABY CHICKS USING IMMUNOFLOURESENCE
Arabic : تحديد مسا الميكوبلازما جاليسبتكم فى القصبة الهوائية والرئة فى صغار الكتاكيت باستخدام الأميونوفلورسنس.
Abstract Mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) antigen was detected in the frozen tissue section of trachea and lung of baby chicks on the 3 , 7 and 10 day post infection with MG using immunoflouresence (IF). It was attached to the epithelial surface of trachea, bronchi and the alveoli, also it was found in the parenchyma of bursa of fabricus, liver and spleen which indicate haematogenous spread of MG. The prominent histopathological lesions in these organs support this hypothesis. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was positive from pooled trachea and lung tissues, PCR was more specific, sensitive and rapid than culture method .IF is less sensitive than PCR and culture but it pinpointed the sites of infection at the cellular level .Serological tests using serum plate agglutination (SPA) and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) are insufficient for detection of early MG infection
