Abstract |
In a study to prepare and evaluate Mycoplasma gallisep ticurn bacterin, 101 samples were collected from Cairo, Giza Kaliobia and Dakahlia poultry farms.
Two isolate out of 15 strains were identified as Mycoplasma gallisepti cum using reference antisera. The more artigenical strain was used in preparation of two types of vaccines . The first was formalized oil adju vant vaccine and the second was formalized aluminium hydroxide gel vaccine . These locally prepared vaccines were compared to the imported Nobi-vac Mycoplasma gallisèpticum vaccine. For evaluation of these vaccines, 540 chicks were vaccinated with one dose (0.5cc s/c) at 2 weeks of age. The durationof imurity was detected by serological response in duced in sera of birds after vaccination for 26 weeks. Vaccination effi ciency of prepared vaccines was evaluated by detection of percentage of protection, body weight gain, isolation and quantitation of M gallisepti cum from tracheae of chickens after challenge and potency of the vac cine.
It was found that HI and SPA tests were preferable for evaluation of anti .gc 6.1995
