| Abstract |
Kidney biopsy was used for detection of Aeromonas hydrophila and Yersinia ruckeria from asymptomatically Clarias gariepinus fish. There is no difference between the result obtained by kidney biopsy and those obtained from kidney specimen after necropsy of fish. So kidney biopsy can used for identify bacterial infection. Also it may be used as periodical examination in fish farm to detect carrier state or used for examination breed stock and valuable fish.
Oxytertracycline is successfully used for control the early infection.
