English : Farmers adoption of some agricultural innovations for maintaining soil fertility in some villages at El monoufia governorate

Abstract The study aims to determine: the respondent's a doption degree of some agricultural innovations concerning maintaining agriculture soil fertility i some villages at El - Monofia Governorate, the relationship of some dependent, variables of the respondents, the contribution percentage of the dependent variables correlated significantly to respondents adoption of )tae agricultural innovations concerning maintaining agriculture soil fertility the source providing respondents with information about agricultural innovations) concerning maintaining agriculture soil fertility, and the problems facing The respondents in adopting some agricultural innovations concerning maintaining agriculture soil fertility in some villages at El-Monoufia Governorate. A sample of 370 respondents were chosen from adopters which diffused in some villages at EI-Monofia Governorate. Data was 'Betted by interviewing respondents using tables, pretested questionnaire. It was *Statistically manipulated and analyzed using tables, Percentage, simple correlation coefficient, and regression analysis (step- wise). The results revealed that:. 1. The respondent's adoption degree of the industrial farmyrad manure (organic manure), and the phosphate fertilizers (phosphorin) were `relatively high, and The respondent's adoption degree of the Breaker plough were about average . 2. A positive correlation existed between the respondent's adoption degree of the industrial farmyrad manure (organic manure), the phosphate the fertililizers. (phosphorin), and the Breaker plough and the all independent variables studied. 3. Availability of innovations and the cost of innovations utilization. Variables significantly contributed in explaining the variation in the respondent's adoption degree of all innovation studied, in addition to the variable of the awareness of innovation for the industrial farmyrad manure' (organic manure) innovation, and the variable of size of farm land for the Breaker plough innovation . 4.The maid sources of respodent's information about some agricultural innovations concerning maintaining agriculture soil fertility in some villages at EL-Monofia Governorate were: agricultural experience (73.2%), television rural programs (66.2%), and neighbours (56.9%). 5.Four problems were found facing the respondents in their implementation some agricultural innovations, these were in descending order: unavailability of enough information about some innovations, the agricultural extension don't provide its role in this scope, high the cost of time innovations, and the difficulty implementing some innovations.
