English : Pathological, Bacteriological and Parasitological studies on lymph nodes affections in cattle
Arabic : دراسات باثولوجية وبكتريولوجية وطفيلية على اصابات الغدد الليمفاوية فى الأبقار
Abstract Sixty nine clinically affected lymph nodes of slaughtered cattle were subjected for bacteriological, parasitological and pathological studies. Bacteriologically the examined lymph nodes revealed 71% isolates. The isolates were Staphylococcus aureus (17.4%), Streptococcus pyogenes (14.5%), Actinomyces pyogenes (10.1%, Corynebacterium bovis (10.1%) Esherichia coli (11.6%) and Klebsiella oxytoca (7.2%). The most important pathological lesions recorded were haemorrhagic lymphadenitis (23.2%), fibrinous lymphadenitis (5.8%), necrotic lymphadenitis (21.8%), parasitic lymphadenitis (5.8%) due to Theleria spp. Infection, chronic lymphadenitis (26%, fatty changes in (5.8%) and emphysema in 11.6%. The correlation between the causative pathogens and its related histopathological changes were studied and discussed in details
