| Abstract |
The research aimed to study some characteristics of rural girl and their relationship with their thought skills. The study was carried out through achieving the sub-goals:
1-Assess some personal and socio-economic characteristics of the respondents.
2-Assess thought skills of the respondents.
3-Study the relationship between thought skills and some personal and socio-economic characteristics of the respondents.
Data were collected by questionnaire, notice through personal interviews with a random sample consisted of 200 rural girls from some villages in Alexandria and El-Behira governorates. Alpha Chronbach factor, parson correlation Spearman correlation, multiple regression models, frequencies and percentages were used in analyzing and presenting the data.
Data indicated the following:
Low level of thought skills were observed among respondents. The was A positive significant relationship between solving problems practice, innovativeness, decision making independently, conviction degree, risk degree, fatalism degree, determining goals independently, free opinion, father education and thought skills. According to step-wise multiple regression analysis, solving problems practice, innovativeness, determining goals independently and decision making independently together explained about 60% of variance in the thought skills.
