Abstract The experimental work started in October 1992. Forty breeding does and four hundreds and fifty six ( 233 males and 233 females ) weanlings (28 day old ) of New Zealand White breed were used in this investigate to study the effects of inclusion Lacto – Sacc in diets with different protein levels on reproductive and productive performance of rabbits. Results showed that Litter size increased in rabbits fed diets containing 18.4% crud protein than those fed diets with 16.3% crud protein. Mortality rate decreased with 5.7% and 7.8%,respectively, at21and28days of age in normal protein diet group when compared with low protein diet group. Total milk yield at the whole lactation period affected significantly(p<0.001)with dietary protein level. The increase value were 21.2% at the whole lactation period in rabbits fed normal protein diet than those fed low protein diet. The addition of lacto-sacc in does diet increased(p<0.001) total milk yield. Feed conversion was improved with increasing dietary protein and supplementation with lacto-sacc. Carcass and some non-carcass components relatively to live body weight at slaughter did not show any significant effect of factors studied, Dressing percentage increased slightly with increasing dietary protein and lacto-sacc addition in rabbit diets.
