The study current situation and the future of some food industries in Egypt

| Abstract |
Food processing factor in one of the important themes in achieving food security. It value of production represents about 21% from the value of industrial production in Egypt . the results show a decreasing trend for cereal and arch crushing industry at (-8.2%) aurally , effecting per year decrease of its value estimated at 1.91 million . the some direction was proven for milk products value , while an increasing trend was shown for vegetables and fruits processing which was estimated at 0.056 ton/year .
The results indicated the it about 18.5 % of total capacity is unemployed in cereal and arch crushing sector , 14.3% for vegetables and fruits processing , and 10% for milk products.
The per capita share of crushed cereals and arch is decreasing , while it was increasing for vegetables and fruits , and it was relatives constant for milk products .
The expectations in the future
Showed that the production of vegetables and fruits will about 1.7 million ton its exports will be about 308.ton , and the per capital share will be about 19 kg/year.
The study reconvened .
a- Drawing an investment map for food processing to the relative importance of governorates production per cartage .
b- Making full utilization from the unemployed capacities in every processing industry.
c- Stop giving new licenses for establishing more processing units until completing the utilization of all unemployed capacities .
d- More efforts should be given to keep the export markets of the food products , and open new markets.
