Abstract |
The main objective of this research is to develop a scale in order to determine score of Agri. Ext. workers attitudes towards using new communication technology in Agri. Ext. work. Also to determine the relationship between this score attitudes up to items scale and studied respondents independent variables.
The study was conducted in Sharkia governorate in Delta and El-Mina governorate in Upper Egypt, where the most number of extension agents are involved all over the country.
The total number was chosen randomly from agricultural extension agents working in the two studied governorates. It consisted of 142 respondents representing 39.3% of the total number of population (361).
Data were collected by using questionnaire through personal interview from chosen agricultural extension agents during March 2012.
Data was displayed by using frequencies table including numbers and percentages. In addition; arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Alpha Coefficient, qui square, and phi correlation.
The most important findings could be summarized as follows:
1- the developed scale was valid to measure agricultural extension agents attitudes towards using new communication technology because of its reliability (ACPHA was, 788).
2- The majority of respondents (87.3%) had clear positive attitudes towards using new communication technology in their work up to the scale items.
3- There was rational convenience between some dependents and independents studied variables so that there were high and moderate phi correlation.
