Training, Evaluating, and Updating Expert Systems
HistoryThis department investigates the best methods for training researchers, extension workers, engineers, veterinarians and farmers. Also studied are the evaluation and upgrading of expert systems.

Achievements Research Unit For Evaluating and Updating Expert System. Applied research is conducted in the areas of evaluating and updating expert systems. Research topics include: verification and validation of developed expert systems, effect of expert systems on production increases, performance enhancement of users, maintenance of the expert systems, and others.
Current Activities Rural and Agricultural Development Communication Network (RADCON)
Goals The department consists of two units: Research Unit For Training This unit will develop an intelligent tutoring system to introduce expert systems concepts and usage to researchers, extensionists, engineers, veterinarians, and farmers. Methods of measuring the effectiveness of training on production increases are also studied.
